Prominent LA Deli Owner’s Granddaughter Opens New Deli In West Hollywood

Shortly after Trisha Langer got married in 2015, she knew she wanted to open a delicatessen with her husband. In December of 2018, Langer turned her dream into a reality with the opening of Daughter’s Deli in West Hollywood.

Los Angeles foodies should already be familiar with the Langer name. Indeed, LA locals shouldn’t be confused by the name Daughter’s Deli after learning Trisha Langer is the owner.

For those not in-the-know, the Langer family has been a prominent name in LA’s deli scene ever since Trisha’s grandparents opened Langer’s Delicatessen & Restaurant in the 1940s. Today, this James Beard Award-winning deli is still going strong at its 704 S Alvarado Street location.

Trisha hopesDaughter’s Deli will extend the Langer family tradition of offering guests the tastiest sandwiches, soups, salads, and bagels for breakfast and lunch. Trisha noted, however, that Daughter’s Deli is not affiliated with Langer’s Deli.

Family favorites on Daughter’s Deli’s menu include the tuna salad, egg salad, and fresh-roasted turkey breast sandwich. A few other standard Jewish deli items available at Daughter’s Deli include pastrami on rye, a corned beef sandwich, and lox on a bagel with cream cheese.

Although Daughter’s Deli has only been open a few weeks, glowing online reviews are already pouring in. Many Yelp! reviewers give Daughter’s Deli high praise for its tuna salad sandwich.

You can stop by Daughter’s Deli at 8555 Sunset Boulevard between 8AM and 4PM every day of the week. For more information on this deli or to review its menu, be sure to with the Deli’s website at https://www.daughtersdeli.com/
