Why did Guns N’ Roses play recently in West Hollywood, CA?

Infamous 80’s rockers Guns N’ Roses had a reunion of sorts on April 1, 2016 at the West Hollywood club Troubador.

It was a historic moment as this was the first time that singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, and bassist Duff McKagan had played together since a 1993 Buenos Aires show. Original drummer Steve Adler did not participate nor did his replacement Matt Sorum. The band played several more shows after the Troubador including the annual Coachella music festival which included a surprise onstage appearance by legendary AC/DC guitarist Angus Young during the band’s set.

The band recently announced a summer tour but it is not know what will happen to the band after that.

I’m guessing GNR played at the Troubador as Slash used to work there and it is just a well known place for bands to put out great music.

If you can get tickets…
