If you’re concerned you or a loved one might have COVID-19, then you might want to consider visiting West Hollywood’s new COVID-19 testing unit. That’s right, ever since April 13, WeHo has its own dedicated drive-up testing facility.
Before you visit this testing site, please be forewarned doctors will only screen you if you meet one of the following criteria:
- You have a pre-existing condition that makes you susceptible to COVID-19 (e.g., diabetes, lung disease, or cancer).
- You were in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
- You are 65-years-old or older.
If you qualify for a COVID-19 test, then you should fill out an electronic application before visiting WeHo’s drive-in testing unit. You can find out more about LA County’s official application form on this link.
With the new WeHo testing facility, there are now over 20 COVID-19 screening sites in Los Angeles County. To find a map of all current testing locations, be sure to look at this official map.
According to current estimates, roughly one out of every 360 WeHo residents now have COVID-19. Of the approximately 10,000 people who have COVID-19 in LA County, 360 cases have been fatal.
Los Angeles has been on a temporary lockdown since mid-March to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Until at least May 15, LA residents should only leave their homes for essential activities like grocery shopping and visiting a doctor.
